What Can I Expect at Chapel Next?

You can expect a place where you can worship in an atmosphere that is focused on knowing God personally. You can expect to find people who are not perfect, but who want to grow in their relationship with God.  You will find a place where people accept and love you as God's child. You can start new friendships where you build each other up to be all that God intended you to be. You can expect an atmosphere where you are welcomed, pointed to Christ by music, teaching, preaching, discipleship, and invited to get to know people who have a lot in common with you.

Why Do You Call It Chapel Next?

Our focus is on communicating God's truth to the next generation of soldiers and families in a contemporary manner. As told in Exodus, when the Israelites entered Canaan, God told them to set up monuments of stones to remind the next generation of His greatness. Unfortunately, we read later that the next generation failed because the previous generation did not live out and proclaim God's goodness and grace. We want to do all we can to communicate that God's Son, Jesus Christ, is the answer to the issues and questions the current and the next generation face.

Does Chapel Next promote or is it tied to a denomination?

No, everyone is welcome no matter what background you do or do not claim. Chapel Next is a protestant contemporary worship service that reaches out to the entire military community: soldiers, family members, civilians, retirees, and their friends.

What if I come on one of the Sundays you have "potluck dinner"?

Please do! There's always plenty of food, (good stuff, free!) served cafeteria-style, in the room next to where the Church service is held. It's just a relaxed time of families & singles eating together & getting better acquainted. Visitors just bring 'themselves'!

What's the setup for children during the worship hour?

Babies up to two years old can go into our nursery with certified child-care staff. Children 3 years old (potty trained) through 5th Grade are invited to go to a children's church program we call Kingdom Kids. The children are dismissed from the worship service partway through the service.

Is there a Sunday School or Small Groups Program?

Every Sunday from 9:00 to 9:45 a.m., Chapel Next has Sunday School classes for every age group from child to adult. For the adults, Chapel Next offers a variety of classes that speak to the issues people face: marriage, parenting, spiritual growth, living the Christian life in our world, etc. We have a number of small groups that meet in the chapel and the local area. For more information, please e-mail or call one of our Christian Education or other staff pastors or volunteers so we can answer all your questions.
